CMPA offers production, technical experience to new grads

OTTAWA – The Canadian Media Production Association (CMPA) has launched a new mentorship program to offer 40 post-secondary graduate youth the opportunity to gain work experience in the film, television and interactive media production industry.

The Digital Media Production Program is a hands-on training program emphasizing administration, management and technical skills in today’s rapidly changing knowledge economy in the digital world.  It is funded by the government’s Career Focus program.

“Working with an active production company for a six month period is an unparalleled experience,” said Susanne Vaas, VP of business affairs and recording secretary, in the press release. “This is a wonderful opportunity for recent graduates to launch their careers in the screen-based production industry,”
