CMPA, DGC members ratify new production agreement

TORONTO –The Canadian Media Production Association (CMPA) and the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) announced today that the new 2013-2015 independent production agreement has been ratified by both organizations’ members. The new agreement is effective immediately on all productions that opened offices on or after June 14, 2013. In a statement, DGC Ontario CEO Bill Skolnik said the agreement reflects members’ priorities and protects their interests. “The CMPA is very happy we were able to reach an agreement that recognizes the needs of Canadian producers, yet fairly compensates DGC members across the country,” said Reynolds Mastin, the CMPA’s chief negotiator...
