The Canadian Media Producers Association announced Wednesday that it has promoted Andrew Addison to senior vice president of strategic communications and member engagement.
Addison will “lead the team responsible for the CMPA’s international activities and mentorship programs, drive new strategic partnerships, and continue to oversee communications, marketing, and member services activities for the organization,” said a press release.
“In more than eight years with the CMPA, Andrew has demonstrated an impressive ability to understand the unique challenges faced by independent producers and develop strategies that meet their needs and promote their interests,” Reynolds Mastin, CMPA president and CEO, said in the release. “In his newly expanded role, I am confident that Andrew will successfully lead our talented Member Services team, building new opportunities that will further strengthen CMPA members’ presence in Canada and on the global stage.”
Addison joined the CMPA in 2016 as vice president of marketing and communications. In 2019, he took over member services, sponsorship activities and the production of the annual Prime Time conference.
