TORONTO – After officially opening its doors on April 1st, the Canada Media Fund (CMF) will stage information sessions across Canada to further explain its new funding guidelines and answer questions from potential recipients.
The first of the outreach sessions are scheduled for Victoria and Vancouver on April 12, before crisscrossing the country. Click here to register to attend one of the 15 sessions.
The meetings will be led by Nathalie Clermont, director of CMF program management, along with Roxane Girard, director of CMF program administrator/Telefilm Canada, Francesca Accinelli, director of the English market, and Stéphane Consantino, director of the French market.
The 2010-2011 guidelines are available on the CMF website under ‘Create’.
In other CMF news, Glenn Wong has been appointed to the funding agency’s board of directors to fill the vacancy created by Eileen Sarkar’s departure.
Nominated by the Department of Canadian Heritage, Wong is an executive management consultant and former president of Electronic Arts Canada and Rogers Cable TV (B.C.). Based in Vancouver, Wong currently serves on the board of Coast Capital Savings Credit Union, CopperLeaf Technologies and the Vancouver Police Board where he is vice chair.
