CMF invests over $8.5M in production funding in 15 indigenous projects

A further $7.7M to be invested in 26 documentary projects The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced last week an investment of more than $8.5 million in 15 indigenous projects through its Indigenous Program. The selected projects include nine documentaries, four dramas, and two children and youth series. The production companies that are receiving funding include two in Alberta, five in Manitoba, four in Quebec, two in Nunavut and two in Saskatchewan. The CMF’s Indigenous Program supports the growth of First Nation, Inuit and Métis production communities, acknowledging their unique challenges.
