CMF awards $2.5M in funding under diverse languages program

TORONTO - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced $2.5 million in funding to 10 convergent projects under its Diverse Languages Program.The program supports productions reflecting Canadian diversity by funding projects in languages other than English, French, or Aboriginal languages.  The projects, of which two are children’s and youth productions, four are documentaries, and four are dramas, all include a television component and nine have a digital media components.  One production is in Cantonese, one is in Italian, five are in Mandarin and three are in the Spanish language.Since 2010, the CMF has provided $11.4M to 58 projects as part of its...
