TORONTO – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has announced $10.5 million in funding for 43 projects that applied for production funding through the 2017-2018 Convergent Digital Media Incentive.

The Incentive is designed to encourage the production of digital media components that are related to CMF-funded television productions, so as to provide audiences with the opportunity to access content on different platforms.

Of the selected projects, of which 22 are in English and 21 in French, eight are children’s and youth projects, 14 are documentaries, 18 are drama projects, and three are in the Variety and Performing Arts genre.  The list of projects is available here.

Sine 2010, including this round of funding, the CMF has invested more than $76.7M in 454 projects that received funding through the Convergent Digital Media Incentive.
