Cloud computing privacy consultations start Monday

OTTAWA – Canada’s Privacy Commissioner will hold its consultations on privacy issues related to cloud computing practices on Monday at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire in Calgary.The aim of the consultations is to learn more about emerging technologies that touch on the privacy of consumers, and to stimulate further informed debate.  Previous OPC consultations examined the privacy impact of on-line tracking, profiling and targeting of consumers by marketers and other businesses.The event will be broadcast live on the Web, and media and the public will be able to submit questions via e-mail and Twitter.
