MONTREAL – Telefilm Canada executive director Wayne Clarkson is stepping down at the end of his five year appointment on January 17, 2010.
Clarkson began his five-year mandate at Telefilm Canada in January 2005. The announcement did not mention what his future plans may be.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as the Executive Director of Telefilm, one of Canada’s most valued cultural institutions committed to the promotion and development of our audiovisual industries,” Clarkson said in the announcement. “But there is still a lot of work to do and, over the remaining six months of my term, I will continue to focus on Telefilm’s key challenges and priorities.”
The Board of Directors has begun the search process for Clarkson’s replacement, the announcement continued.
