BULKLEY VALLEY and TERRACE EAST, BC – CityWest has launched a faster Internet product, known as Quantum 250, to residential customers in eight of its markets.
Priced at $90 per month, Quantum 250 boasts download speeds of up to 250 Mbps and upload speeds of 20 Mbps, without a monthly data cap.
It is currently only available over fibre-optic services in the Hazelton area, Smithers, Telkwa, Houston and pockets of Terrace, Kitimat and Prince Rupert, but will be launched to all customers in spring 2018. CityWest added that it is also working on faster Internet speeds for business customers.
CityWest CEO Chris Marett said the company want to ensure that its network is “solid” before launching the service in all of its markets.
“After hearing our customers tell us that they needed faster Internet with better upload capabilities, we started developing the product in late-2017, and got it out the door as soon as we could,” Marett said in the news release. “This new Internet product will enhance the already-amazing experience our customers get from our employees.”
