Citytv’s Harmony


TORONTO – Picked as a company which “exemplifies the spirit of harmony and diversity within our communities and has made a significant contribution towards eliminating discrimination and promoting harmony in Canada, CHUM Limited’s Citytv will be the 2005 recipient of The Harmony Award on Wednesday.

The Award will be presented to Citytv at the annual Harmony Award Banquet to Jay Switzer, president and CEO of CHUM Limited.

Past recipients of the Harmony Award include Temple Har Zion and the Islamic Ja’affari Centre, June Callwood, Roberta Jamieson, Herb Carnegie and Bromley Armstrong.

The National Movement for Harmony in Canada (www.harmony.ca) was formed in 1994, as a not-for profit organization to encourage all groups to participate in the social, economic and political life of Canada, with a mandate to combat all forms of discrimination that act as social and cultural barriers to Canadian citizens.
