Citytv documentary  highlights economic boom in Saskatchewan

TORONTO – Citytv has begun production on an all-new, original documentary The Sky is the Limit, which showcases Saskatchewan’s unprecedented economic boom and will air this September exclusively on Citytv. The Sky is the Limit is the first Citytv production to begin in the province since the recent acquisition of Citytv Saskatchewan that officially launched July 1 and is being produced by Stephen Onda Productions Inc.

“Citytv is committed to producing strong, Canadian programming, and this documentary reflects that mission and our pride in shining a spotlight on this country’s success stories,” said Claire Freeland, Director of Original Programming, Rogers Media Broadcasting. “Charting the rise from agriculture and oil, to mining gold, uranium, and diamonds – Stephen Onda has found a way to bring the story of Saskatchewan’s inspiring economic growth to Canadian audiences in a way that both entertains and enlightens.”

Stephen Onda has been an independent producer/director/writer working in Western Canada since 1984. He plans to travel to each region of the province profiling an individual personally connected to each boom sector. The profiles will combine a blend of exclusive interviews, archival footage, and never before seen on-site work footage.
