Citytv debuts hyper local news app in Toronto

TORONTO – Rogers-owned Citytv has rolled out an app for the Apple iPad and iPhone featuring the latest in local news, weather, sports and traffic for viewers in Toronto and its surrounding area.The ad supported CityNews app, which is available free from iTunes app store, also allows users to share their own stories and breaking news in their communities via their mobile device with the station’s newsroom by uploading videos, photos, news tips and stories.
