City readies slate of fall premieres

TORONTO – City is set to roll out its new fall TV schedule starting September 10 with a lineup that includes four new series, three new-to-City series, two live musical events, and 17 returning favourites.

The Rogers-owned broadcaster said Monday that the new series include sci-fi adventure comedy The Orville, set to debut September 10 at 8:00 PM before moving to Thursday’s at 9:00 PM starting September 21; new original series Bad Blood, a true crime story inspired by reputed Montreal mobster Vito Rizzuto, will begin September 21 at 8:00 PM; Ghosted, which sees a skeptic and a paranormal believer team up to save the human race from aliens, will kick off October 1 at 8:30 PM; and comedy series Fubar: The Age of the Computer, based on the film franchise, will debut November 5 at 10:30 PM.

New-to-City series include The Blacklist (season 5 kicks off September 27 at 8:00 PM), Dancing with the Stars (season 25 begins September September 18 at 8:00 PM), and Speechless (season 2 debuts September 29 at 9:30 PM).

In addition, the live three-hour musical event A Christmas Story will air December 17 at 7:00 PM.
