TORONTO – With the results from the new early summer ratings coming out, CHUM FM was the first out of the gate today with its release saying the station has re-claimed its number one spot on the Toronto dial.
“CHUM FM is the No. 1 station overall with an 8.6 share of tuning,” says its release. “As well, CHUM FM is the number one radio station with a huge lead in the lucrative adults 25-54 demographic with a 12.4 share of audience.”
CHUM was anxious to see this book because it lost its Toronto lead in the Spring 2005 book to Standard’s EZ Rock.
"CHUM FM has built a reputation for being representative of the diversity that is Toronto," says Rob Farina, CHUM FM’s director of programming. "We’re very pleased with these results today and thrilled that listeners are tuning in and enjoying CHUM FM daily."
“CHUM FM is the No. 1 station in all categories of adults 18-54. Canada’s No. 1 morning team of Roger, Rick & Marilyn continues to dominate morning tuning in Toronto by a large majority. In addition, CHUM FM attributes its continued success to the popular roster of Toronto personalities including Ingrid Schumacher’s No. 1 midday show, and Darren B. Lamb’s No. 1 afternoon drive show,” says the release.
CHUM FM (www.chumfm.com) draws a weekly audience of almost 1.1 million listeners and is the most listened to FM radio station in Canada.
