OTTAWA – Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield and musician Carly Rae Jepsen are among a lineup of guests and performers taking part in CPAC’s live Canada Day special from Parliament Hill on July 1.
Hadfield and Jepsen will be part of the Noon show broadcast. Throughout the day and evening, CPAC’s Outburst team will show sights and sounds from the nation’s capital and talk to Canadians as they enjoy the celebrations, while Outburst’s Glen McInnis asks visitors what it means to be Canadian.
At 2 p.m. Beyond Politics features a Canada Day Prime Ministers marathon. Host Catherine Clark speaks with all six of Canada’s living former Prime Ministers.
Throughout the day, collaborators Puneet Birgi, Heather Seaman and Joëlle-Ann Blanchette will also be bringing viewers glimpses of the various events and visitors in Ottawa as they celebrate our nation’s birthday.
A live presentation of fireworks from Jacques Cartier Park will cap off the day’s festivities beginning at 10 p.m.
