
TORONTO – On Sunday, October 2, 2005 CHFI’s morning host Erin Davis and over 250 members of TEAM CHFI raised over $60,000 for The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in the Run for the Cure.
The team (pictured) was made up of 98.1 listeners along with Davis and radio staff.
“CHFI listeners are the most generous people” said Julie Adam, general manager and program director, CHFI, in a release. “We are thankful to all our listeners – those who sponsored and those who ran and walked with us. It was a most empowering day for the radio station, the participants and everyone who cares about creating a future without breast cancer.”
In Toronto, 98.1 CHFI played host to a very enthusiastic team of women, children, men and survivors during the 5 km event through the University Avenue corridor.
The radio station also won the CIBC Corporate Spirit Award for raising most donations of any corporate team.
