Cheaper high-def sets top holiday shopping lists

AMERICAN CONSUMERS are looking to purchase a pile of consumer electronics this holiday season, with HDTVs atop those lists. According to technology and market research firm In-Stat, the company's latest survey yielded over 2,000 responses from North American consumers and more than 80% of these respondents have plans to purchase a consumer electronics product this holiday season. "In 2007, HDTVs top consumers' holiday wish list, most likely due to plummeting price tags for these products.
