HAMILTON — CHCH-TV announced Tuesday the launch of its brand new ‘Shop Local’ business initiative, an online directory that highlights the innovation and ingenuity demonstrated by local businesses across the Golden Horseshoe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Hosted on CHCH.com, the free directory is open to the public, allowing business owners and customers to collaborate in the digital space. The Shop Local directory can be found at chch.com/ShopLocal.
Visitors to the Shop Local directory will find a diverse and growing list of local businesses to support in Hamilton, Niagara, Halton Region and the Greater Toronto Area. Featured businesses span across multiple categories and services, including automotive, home services, retail, and food and drink. The directory provides not only easy-access information for customers, but also a free opportunity for business owners to promote their services during this difficult time, says the news release.
“We’d heard the call from so many local business owners who have had to change the way they operate,” said Geoff Thrasher, general sales manager, CHCH TV. “This directory is our way of showing support to these businesses, all of whom are doing incredible things for their communities despite the recent challenges. As an independent station, we can certainly relate to the flexibility and creative thinking needed to make things work during tough times like these.”
