TORONTO – With the Canadian Football League (CFL) kicking off its 2016 season Thursday, SiriusXM Canada announced plans to offer all games, including playoffs and Grey Cup, to its subscribers.

Listeners will also receive French-language broadcasts of all Montréal Alouettes and Ottawa Redblacks games.  In addition to play-by-play of every game, SiriusXM's Canada Talks (ch. 167) will provide listeners with daily CFL updates, covering all the happenings from around the league, plus current affairs and talk related to all aspects of Canadian life.

"There have been big changes across the CFL and 2016 is shaping up to be a very exciting year with new rules, new stadiums and more," said SiriusXM Canada SVP programming John Lewis, in the news release.  "From coast-to-coast we have subscribers who are loyal CFL fans and we want to make sure they have access to all the games wherever they are."

In related news, sports fans in the United Kingdom and Ireland can catch CFL action live on television for the second consecutive season via BT Sport.  Following a multi-territory agreement between the CFL and ESPN Inc., BT Sport will offer all four games in the CFL’s Week 1 to its more than 5 million homes, plus air subsequent games on delay.

Here at home, Bell Media’s TSN and RDS hold exclusive media rights to all CFL games through 2021.
