CEP ratifies Bell pay equity deal

OTTAWA – Five thousand current and former mostly female telephone operators employed by Bell Canada have voted to accept a $104 million settlement of their 14 year old dispute over pay equity by 95%.Members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, the operators voted over the last month in 25 separate meetings across Ontario and Québec.
