Centreon offers infrastructure monitoring help with free plug-in packs

TORONTO and PARIS — As businesses cope with the increased need to support employees working remotely from home during the Covid-19 pandemic, IT infrastructure monitoring software provider Centreon is offering free of charge 26 plug-in packs to help companies protect crucial infrastructure and essential services, from network to telephony to applications.

With people forced into confinement at home due to Covid-19, the demand for electronic entertainment and remote work capabilities such as collaborative platforms, video chat and VPN connections is intensifying every day, says the news release. This surge in demand for collaborative work infrastructure and applications is straining IT systems around the world, with VPN usage in particular expected to continue growing, Centreon says.

“We don’t want IT failure to compound the financial impacts of the pandemic,” says Julien Mathis, co-founder and CEO of Centreon Europe, in the news release. “Holistic IT infrastructure monitoring is part of an effective first-line business continuity strategy and Centreon now makes it easier for businesses to fail proof systems.”

Romain Le Merlus, co-founder and CEO of Centreon North America, adds: “Our global team and Centreon’s network of partners in Europe and in the Americas are ready to provide assistance throughout the crisis. We invite IT monitoring professionals to anticipate issues and fail proof their IT monitoring perimeter with these 26 free connectors that will enable cloud to edge visibility.”

More information about the 26 plug-in packs currently available free of charge can be found here. The plug-in packs are used in conjunction with the Centreon platform, which can be downloaded for a free trial from the company’s website. Businesses who create an account and register the Centreon platform normally get five free plug-in packs, but this offer has temporarily been extended to the 26 extra plug-in packs included in this announcement.

Software provider Centreon provides open and flexible solutions dedicated to IT supervision of traditional, hybrid or cloud infrastructures, systems and networks. The company is headquartered in Paris and Toronto.
