Cellphone growth will slow, says report

THE "HIGH-FLYING" cellphone industry is not immune to the current economic slowdown, says recent research conducted by In-Stat. The high-tech market research firm says that while the worldwide cellular phone market is relatively healthy this year, growth will slow over the next two to three years as this recession is more widespread and deeper than ever experienced during the history of the cellphone, particularly in the key markets of Europe, Asia, and North America.
