Cellphone driving ban comes to B.C., Saskatchewan

HANDS-FREE products were undoubtedly popular gifts across British Columbia and Saskatchewan this holiday season.The two provinces have joined Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador in banning drivers from using hand-held devices while behind the wheel. The new law, which came in to effect on January 1, makes it illegal for drivers to text, type, dial or email using hand-held devices while operating a vehicle.It could mean a big boost in sales for hands-free products for mobile tech retailers in the provinces.
