ARLINGTON, VA – Mark your calendars for the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held in Las Vegas on January 8-11, 2009. Cartt.ca will be there too, and will have daily updates, as we have each of the past three CES shows.
More than 2,700 exhibitors will show off the latest consumer technology products in 30 product categories such as digital entertainment, high-performance audio, digital imaging, and electronic gaming.
New this year is Content@CES, an exhibition on the show floor designed specifically for the companies that create, deliver and distribute content. Sony Pictures Television has announced that they will shoot daily episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy! there in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Jeopardy.
The show also promises 20 market-specific TechZones, to group similar technologies such as mobile devices with wireless applications and products enhanced by mobile broadband.
Also announced is a new awards program called the Global Media Awards designed to honour technology and content programming.
