QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance and French specialty channel Planete, have signed a master affiliate agreement.
Planete is a 15-year-old 24/7 documentary channel out of Europe that airs 60 new documentaries each month from all over the world.
“CCSA is very pleased to be able to offer this high quality French language service for the benefit of both francophone and anglophone subscribers,” said Alyson Townsend, president and CEO of the CCSA, in a press release. “Planete has been a pleasure to deal with and we know that they will work diligently with our members to promote their service to Canadian subscribers throughout the term of the agreement.”
“The opportunity provided by our agreement… will facilitate Planete’s distribution to the growing multi-lingual society Canada has become, and we look forward to promoting Planete with CCSA members using our made-to-measure marketing tools,” added Clair Bourgeois, president and CEO of Terra Terra Communications, the channel’s representative in Canada.
