CCSA secures deal with DSI to distribute scrolling TV guides and iTV listings

QUISPASMIS, NB – Canadian Cable Systems Alliance (CCSA) has completed a Master Affiliate Agreement with Display Systems International (DSI) for the distribution of the LU130 Full Screen Line-Up TV Listings Analog Scrolling Guide and Interactive Digital TV Listings Data Programming Service.

“We are very happy to have secured a deal with DSI,” says Alyson Townsend, CCSA President and CEO. “Their scrolling TV listing guides are among the most popular scrolling guides in North America and many CCSA members are currently DSI customers.”

“Not only does this agreement provide members competitively priced options for guides and listings, it also provides them alternatives for Interactive Digital TV,” continues Townsend. “The DSI team has been very responsive and extremely helpful. We are confident they will provide excellent customer service to the CCSA membership.”

“We are proud to be a part of the Canada’s cable television industry and very excited to provide our award winning products and services to all of the CCSA members”, says Dale Lemke, President and CEO of DSI. “With this agreement, we will be offering a lower cost, Canadian solution which will help CCSA members to better compete in the marketplace.”

CCSA represents Canada’s independent cable companies and connects over 100 independent cable operators (its members) and their subscribers with programming and equipment. DSI has been operating since 1983 with character generators and TV listings installed in thousands of cable and private cable installations across North America. The company has won numerous awards including Saskatoon and Saskatchewan Achievement in Business Excellence awards, Export awards and Entrepreneur of the Year. Over the past 30 years, about 92% of DSI’s sales have been to the U.S., but in the past few years sales within Canada are growing at a much faster rate.
