QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance and Anime Network have signed a master affiliate agreement for the content company’s subscription video on demand package.
“CCSA members are pleased to offer the Anime Network’s 30-hour subscription VOD package to their subscribers,” said Alyson Townsend, CCSA president and CEO, in a release. “We look forward to building our commercial relationship with the Anime Network and to continue growing the distribution of this on-demand service across Canada.”
“We are pleased to work with CCSA and its members in not only reaching our established anime fan base, but also in introducing our unique programming to viewers who may not have been aware of Anime’s cool addictiveness previously,” said Kevin McFeeley, the company’s vice-president, affiliate sales and new media.
Anime Network is a subsidiary of A.D. Vision and is America’s #1 Anime Channel, reaching more than 41 million households with thousands of hours of exciting, eye-catching serialized programming.
“Launched in North America in late 2002, Anime Network is the nation’s top video-on-demand (VOD) offering, and is also available as a 24/7 linear channel in several U.S. markets,” says the press release. The linear channel is not on the eligible satellite list for traditional linear distribution here.
The CCSA connects 90 independent cable operators and nearly one million subscribers with programming and equipment.
