CCSA, HiFi HDTV agree on deal

QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance and Hi Fidelity HDTV have signed a master agreement covering the distribution of all four of the all-HDTV company’s channels

“We are very pleased to have concluded this long term distribution agreement with High Fidelity HDTV. These four original high definition channels will be a welcome addition to the HD services our members offer their subscribers,” said Alyson Townsend, CCSA president and CEO in a release.

Specialty service operator High Fidelity HDTV owns and operates Oasis HD, Treasure HD, Rush HD and Equator HD. The company has a close relationship with Rainbow Media Holdings, the largest HD content provider in the USA, as well as with other leading high definition producers in Canada and abroad, adds the release.

“We are extremely pleased with our new partnership with the CCSA and look forward to helping CCSA Members address the critical shortage of quality high definition programming currently available,” says Ken Murphy, CEO.
