CCSA and Stingray amend Galaxie agreement to include broadband and mobile

QUISPAMSIS, NB and MONTREAL – The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance (CCSA) and Stingray Digital have agreed to amend the Galaxie agreement to include broadband over the Internet and the simulcast of Galaxie to mobile devices.

“We’re happy to provide CCSA members and their subscribers these additional avenues for distributing the Galaxie music service,” says Alyson Townsend, CCSA President & CEO. “We’re especially pleased Stingray has joined the ranks of programmers who realize the importance of including broadband rights in their BDU offerings.”

“We know from our usage statistics that 60% of Canadians use Galaxie on a regular basis. Customers of CCSA members who are fans of Galaxie will be able to access Galaxie on broadband and on mobile devices, making Galaxie their primary source of music wherever they happen to be,” said Eric Boyko, President and CEO of Stingray Digital.
