CBSC will continue without CAB

OTTAWA – Despite the imminent demise of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council will carry on.In a note to members late on Thursday, national chair Ron Cohen said that “the CBSC will continue from today on to provide its customary services to members without interruption”.  He also said that the organization would be sending out invoices for its annual membership fees “in due course”.The CBSC is an independent, non-governmental organization created by the CAB to deal with complaints and queries from the public about Canada's private broadcasters, and to administer broadcasting standards established by its members. ...
