CBS website fills information void left by Radio Marketing Bureau

TORONTO – The website for Canadian Broadcast Sales (CBS), Radiocbs.com, has been redesigned to produce “Canada’s most comprehensive source for information on radio” and is now available for use by the advertising industry.

“In the absence of the Radio Marketing Bureau, we saw the need to significantly enhance our website and make it the “go to” source for radio information in Canada,” said Patrick Grierson, president of CBS. “After consultation with agencies, advertisers and stations, our in-house Research and IT departments collaborated with Imagination Plus, a leading website design and development firm, to produce a site that is intuitive and user friendly despite the vast amount of data and information available.”

The site serves as an industry information source, a research library and a sales resource.  It contains market analyses such as competitive landscapes, demographic market positioning charts for all stations and general market overviews in addition to housing all CBS client radio station information.

“The home page features a carousel of headlines relevant to our users and the industry and uses prime real estate to update CRTC decisions and station changes across the country,” said Grierson. “The site also contains historic industry revenues, an interactive broadcast calendar, BBM release date information and a library of creative radio commercials.”

CBS client radio station information includes: station details such as format, frequency, ownership as well as coverage maps, audience profiles, website links, remote packages, sponsorships, promotions and relevant contacts.
