TORONTO – The Banff World Media Festival announced that it will feature CBS master classes that will be led by top executives of award-winning programs including CBS’ NCIS and Hawaii Five-0, CBS Television Studios’ Beauty and the Beast (The CW) and Showtime’s House of Lies. CBS master classes will take place at the annual festival, June 9-12 in Banff, Alta.
Gary Glasberg, executive producer of CBS’ NCIS, currently the #1 show on television and seen in over 200 markets, will deliver a master class, as well as accept the Program of the Year Award for NCIS at the annual Rockies Gala, a star-studded event that celebrates the best in television and digital content from all over the world.
Matthew Carnahan, creator, executive producer and writer of the Showtime comedy House of Lies will take part in an exclusive session, discussing the successes of the TV show and the challenges he’s faced as not only a producer, but a playwright and publisher too.
Peter Lenkov, executive producer of the CBS series Hawaii Five-0 will also lead a master class which will provide attendees with an in-depth look creating a show with global appeal and maintaining its success in a very competitive television landscape. He will discuss how marketing a show and bringing the storytelling to the second screen is an important element in building awareness and engaging audiences. In addition to creating the reboot of the iconic Hawaii Five-0 series, his producing career also includes executive producing another popular CBS global franchise, CSI: NY.
