CBS guarantees radio buys for two Montreal stations

TORONTO – CBS Radio Quebec is offering their clients a guarantee that their campaigns on two Montreal radio stations will deliver 100% of their buy.

Thanks to the use of portable people meters (PPM) in the English and French markets of Montreal, weekly tuning can now be tracked in real time, CBS’ press release said. This means that the last seven weeks of the Q3 2008-2009 survey (April 13th – May 31, 2009), can be “captured accurately”, giving buyers a better sense of market share and audience tuning.

The company is offering the guarantee for Corus-owned CFQR-FM (recently re-launched as The Q 92.5). Called ‘The Q Guarantee’, any buy based on ratings of the last seven weeks of the PPM survey will be guaranteed to 100% of their booking with the release of the Q1 2009-2010 (S4 2009) for Montreal Anglo.

The ‘CKOI Guarantee’ starts August 24 to coincide with the launch of a new morning and afternoon drive show on French Corus station CKOI-FM 96.9.  Bookings sold based on the CBS research department’s estimates will also be guaranteed 100% on the release of the Q1 2009-2010 (S4 2009) PPM survey for Montreal Franco.

CBS Radio Quebec represents 33 stations in Quebec, including two English stations and six French stations in Montreal.
