CBDA picks scholarship winners


The Canadian Broadcast Distribution Association (CBDA) has selected the winners of this year’s CBDA Broadcast Technology Awards.

S.M. Ahsanuzzaman, a fourth year electrical engineering student at the University of Toronto; Mark Grover, a fourth year computer engineering student at the University of Toronto; Geng Liu, a third year electrical engineering student at the University of Toronto; and Ahmed Youssef, a fourth year electrical and computer engineering student at MacMaster University, each received a $5,000 scholarship.

CBDA established the national, bilingual, post-secondary scholarship program to encourage an interest in broadcast engineering as a profession. Applicants were ranked on weighted scores for academic performance, academic reference letter and an original essay.
