CBC to announce AGO's Heather Conway as head of English Services

TORONTO – The CBC will announce Thursday morning that it has hired the Art Gallery of Ontario’s chief business officer, Heather Conway, as its new head of English Services. Conway (right), 51, was with Alliance Atlantis as executive vice-president of corporate communications, marketing and affiliate relations from 2001 to 2007 and was also CEO of the Canadian arm of Edelman Public relations after that until her two-year stint at the AGO. She replaces former EVP English Services, Kirstine Stewart, who left the CBC in April to head up Twitter’s Canadian division. More to come.
