CBC reserves summer Saturday nights for Canadian films

TORONTO – Thanks to a new partnership with Telefilm Canada, Canadian films will have a weekly spot on CBC TV.Starting next summer, CBC will showcase Canadian works such as The Trotsky, Take This Waltz, Incendies and Beginners Guide to Endings every Saturday at 9 pm (9:30 NT).The 9 pm time slot offers the flexibility to screen a wider range of Canadian films that cannot be broadcast in the regular 8 pm time slot due to content restrictions, the ‘pub caster said.www.cbc.ca
