CBC/Radio-Canada’s global content distribution market Panora.tv preps for Fall launch

MONTREAL - CBC/Radio-Canada and the National Film Board (NFB) are joining forces with international broadcasters and distributors to launch a new content export initiative dubbed Panora.tv.Spearheaded by CBC/Radio-Canada and unveiled last September, the goal of the Panora.tv platform is to facilitate and promote the export of locally created video content to emerging markets and digital service providers using an online system that allows industry buyers to acquire multiplatform broadcast or licensing rights on an as-needed basis.Panora.tv will launch in fall 2017 with a catalogue of over 500 hours of content from the participating public broadcasters, which include francetv distribution (FTD), the...
