CBC/Radio-Canada announces PWHL 2024-25 broadcast schedule

CBC/Radio-Canada last week announced its broadcast and streaming schedule for the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) 2024/2025 season, offering fans live coverage of 17 games in English and six in French.

CBC’s English coverage began on CBC TV and CBC Gem on Saturday, Nov. 30 with the season opening game between the Toronto Sceptres and the Boston Fleet. (Host Toronto won 3-1.)

Radio-Canada’s live French coverage of the PWHL season will begin Saturday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on ICI Télé and ICI TOU.TV with the Toronto Sceptres hosting the Montreal Victoire.

The complete schedules for CBC and Radio-Canada can be found here and here, respectively.

“Hockey fans across the country will revel in the return of the PWHL for its second season,” said Catherine Tait, president and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada, in a statement. “Once again, CBC/Radio-Canada is proud to bring Canadians all the on-ice action. This season is sure to add to the league’s already enthusiastic fanbase.”

CBC Sports’s PWHL coverage features a broadcast team led by host Andi Petrillo, who is joined in-studio by The Athletic reporter Hailey Salvian and former pro hockey player Saroya Tinker. Reporting rinkside, Anastasia Bucsis brings CBC audiences exclusive interviews and updates.

Radio-Canada’s live broadcasts on ICI Télé and ICI TOU.TV will be hosted by Roseline Filion, joined by analysts Stéphanie Poirier and Isabelle Leclaire and commentator Michael Roy. Christine Roger will be rinkside to bring audience reactions and exclusive interviews.

The start of the PWHL season coincides with the launch of the second season of Hockey North, a CBC Sports digital series hosted by Bucsis and available weekly on cbcsports.ca and CBC Sports’ YouTube channel. Hockey North focuses on women’s hockey storylines within the PWHL season and will extend into other Canadian-focused hockey stories.

New PWHL coverage on CBC Sports platforms this season include: Mic’d Up presented by Canadian Tire, offering exclusive access to player interactions and key moments from PWHL games; and PWHL Hometowns, a four-part series showcasing players and the communities across Canada that have shaped them.
