CBC Radio and TVA Sports sign agreement for French World Cup broadcast

TORONTO – CBC/Radio-Canada announced it has signed an agreement with TVA Sports to secure coverage in the French-language market for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil events. Under the agreement, every match will now be broadcast live to French-speaking audiences – 46 on Radio-Canada and 18 on TVA Sports, which will also have rebroadcast rights for all 64 matches. TVA Sports also becomes a licensed broadcaster of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
