CBC overhauls sports sales, marketing ahead of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games

TORONTO – With just under a year to go until the start of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions has created a new integrated sports sales & marketing team in an effort to better serve its promotional partners and advertisers.

Led by Adam Mitchell in the new role of sports partnerships director, the team includes three dedicated sales reps: Rosemary Pereira (broadcast), Michael Miller (broadcast) and Stephanie Moraes (digital).  Mitchell will report to Mary Kreuk, executive director multi-platform media sales & marketing.

In addition, Mark Thomas was promoted to senior team lead, sports marketing to oversee marketing team members Olja Ignjatic, Kyle Dixon, Sam Skalosky and Lesley Robb, as well as the addition of Charles Lemelin in Montreal.

“After a comprehensive review of the Olympic Games Rio 2016, we have evolved our go-to-market strategy to better serve our partners and to provide them with as many opportunities as possible to amplify their commitments to the Olympic Movement through our cross-platform coverage and extensions,” said Mitchell, in the announcement.  “At our core, this team will focus on an insight-led and content driven approach by working with partners to dig into their business objectives.”

The PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games will take place February 9 – 25, 2018 in PyeongChang, South Korea.
