PETERBOROUGH, ON – Capella Telecommunications is partnering with U.S. telco Teo to offer its unified communications technology and services to Canadian telecom and broadband resellers, the two companies announced Wednesday.

Teo, which specializes in telephone and network solutions for Fortune 1,000 companies, government agencies and educational institutions, will provide the unified communications platform and endpoints, while Capella will recruit, train, and support a nationwide network of certified resellers.

According to the news release, Teo’s platform integrates core communications capabilities such as email, voicemail, voice-conferencing, desk phones, mobile phones, soft phones, IM, fax and call recording into one unified platform.  The open standards based technology also integrates easily with existing infrastructures and is scalable and flexible to enable ease of management.

“Capella has a history of introducing leading-edge solutions to the Canadian marketplace and we are very pleased to continue this history with Teo”, said Capella president Norm Slater, in the release.  “Our partnership with Teo supports our commitment to provide the highest quality solutions and we look forward to introducing the products and innovative platform to our customers.”

“We are excited to be partnering with Capella, as we share their commitment to build the best solutions possible for our clients, as that is precisely what drives us to make the best Unified Communications solutions available,” added Thomas Beck, Teo’s director of marketing and business development.
