Canwest's CCAA: It's up to the judge

TORONTO – The battle between Canwest Global Communications and its investment partner Goldman Sachs continued on Tuesday.Both companies appeared in a Toronto court to present factums, their individual versions of events around the insolvency of numbered holding company of Canwest’s. The court heard the arguments and now must decide whether to grant or deny Goldman’s motion to reverse the windup. Lawyers for Canwest argued that extending the fight over its specialty channel assets would add unnecessary expense and could impede its restructuring process.- Lesley Hunter
