TORONTO – The line of direct reports to Errol Da-Ré, executive vice president, sales at Canwest Broadcasting has been clarified.
This announcement follows the CRTC’s recent approval of Canwest’s acquisition of the broadcasting assets of Alliance Atlantis and last week’s announcement of new senior executive responsibilities.
“These individuals possess the experience, skill and passion required to help guide us through the next exciting chapter of the company,” said Da-Ré, in today’s release. “I look forward to working with this talented group as we leverage our industry-leading channels and web sites to take Canwest Broadcasting to new heights in innovative sales and servicing.”
The following members of the sales leadership team will be reporting directly to Da-Ré, taken from the press release. Still to be named is a vice-president of local and regional sales:
* Catherine Bridgman, SVP, marketing ventures “will continue to create unique selling propositions, utilizing the full scope of conventional, specialty and digital assets now under the Canwest Broadcasting umbrella. Her expertise and passion in this specialized discipline will be an asset in the creation of compelling multi-platform custom campaigns for national advertisers in Canada and the United States.”
– Kathy Gardner, SVP, integrated media research and corporate promotions “will continue to be responsible for all research surrounding Canwest’s television and online assets, ensuring that her team delivers insightful key learnings focused on the needs of the company’s clients and consumers. A well-respected and active member of the advertising community, and whose career spans both advertising agencies and media sales, Kathy also manages Canwest’s publishing research and media strategy teams.”
– Jennifer Holgate, VP, digital sales “will manage both sales strategy and process for digital, including distribution, marketing and content integration and implementation for Canwest Interactive Sales. With over twenty years of retail, national advertising and marketing experience, Jennifer has a well-regarded understanding of digital branding and an extensive knowledge of both traditional and new media.”
– Brad Kubota, SVP, revenue and inventory management “will focus on identifying, developing and driving revenue generating strategies for Global, E! and the 21 specialty channels across Canwest Broadcasting. Leading revenue management (RM) and inventory management (IM), Brad will also oversee the former Alliance Atlantis Traffic department, working closely with all of the Canwest divisions to manage, lead and implement these sales strategies. He will harmonize the roles of RM and IM with the objectives of the sales team and help deliver creative and innovative products and solutions for our clients.”
– Lori Legault, VP, national sales will maintain this role, “overseeing approximately 50% of the national ad sales teams in the integrated Canwest Broadcasting. Lori joined Canwest in 2000, and was instrumental in helping to combine two sizeable sales and marketing offices into one of the largest in the industry. Her intelligence, expertise and passion for the business will be essential to the team’s success.”
– Greg McLelland, VP, national sales “will oversee approximately 50% of the national ad sales teams in the integrated Canwest Broadcasting. Greg has over 17 years experience in sales and marketing. In his previous role as vice-president, Synergy Integrated Group at Alliance Atlantis Communications, Greg managed integrated sales initiatives for new and existing clients. Here, he led a wide spectrum of campaigns, including on-air, online, host integration, product placement, network integration, contests and sponsorships.”
