Canwest Media sells Turkish radio interests

WINNIPEG - Canwest Global Communications subsidiary, Canwest Media, is selling its interests in four Turkish radio stations. Terms of the sale of Super FM, Metro FM, Joy Turk, and Joy FM to Spectrum Medya, a Turkey-based company, were not disclosed. Net proceeds will be applied to reduce obligations under the Canwest Media credit facility. Completion of the sale is expected to occur by June 2, 2009. www.canwest.com
