TORONTO – A new ad campaign that uses the TV, print and interactive assets of CanWest MediaWorks launches today.
CanWest MediaWorks and Air Canada are giving Céline Dion fans the chance to reserve a spot backstage at her 500th show at Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
Entitled ‘You and I in Vegas’, the promotion will give Canadian fans a chance to hang out with the Dion backstage and attend the show that will raise money for 10 local Las Vegas charities.
“Partnering with CanWest MediaWorks has given us the ability to develop an exciting integrated promotional campaign leveraging very strong TV, print and online vehicles,” said Tony Attanasio, vice-president tactical group, Marketel – Air Canada’s long-time agency. “This is our fourth promotional partnership with CanWest over the past six months, and we’re confident it will again be a great success.”
The ‘You and I in Vegas’ promotion runs until April 28th.
Prizing includes round-trip airfare for 10 couples, three night hotel accommodation, admission to the show and backstage passes. Spots will run during various Global Television shows and online at etcanada.com and aircanada.com/celine. Print ads will be placed in various CanWest MediaWorks papers including; Times Colonist (Victoria), The Vancouver Sun, The Province (Vancouver), Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Leader-Post (Regina), The StarPhoenix (Saskatoon), National Post, Ottawa Citizen, The Windsor Star and The Gazette (Montreal).
All promotional spots and ads will direct contestants to enter at www.aircanada.com/celine. Winners will be announced May 8th on Entertainment Tonight Canada.
As well, Entertainment Tonight Canada has secured an exclusive interview with Céline Dion which will air on a future date.
