Canuck stations win 26 Murrows

WASHINGTON - Fifteen Canadian radio and television stations were honoured this week by Radio Television News Directors Association International with regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. The list of winners was released in Washington D.C. Wednesday and includes 17 television and nine radio Murrows for Canadian newsrooms. Global BC led the list with four Murrows, the most won by any single Canadian station this year. Among other television winners in the large market category: City TV Toronto with two, CTV Vancouver (CIVT) with a pair, CTV Toronto (CFTO) and Global Ontario with an award each.
