Canadians more interested in smart TVs than 3DTVs, says SRG report

TORONTO – Most Canadians think smart, or internet-connected televisions, are the future, and are not all that enamoured with 3DTV. According to a study from Toronto’s Solutions Research Group, 78% say smart TVs are the future compared to just 50% for 3D TV. The other half said of 3D: “it’s a fad.” Forty-four percent of Canadians in the company’s Digital Life Canada survey done at the end of this past summer say they are interested in purchasing a smart TV, compared to just 27% interest in 3DTV.
