Canadian Music Week invites you to a digital shindig

TORONTO – Can’t make it out to Canadian Music Week next week? No problem. CMW will be offering an interactive video chat broadcast almost every afternoon that you can access from your laptop.

CMW has partnered up with a New York-based company called Shindig, creators of a large-scale video chat platform, to provide daily broadcasts featuring bands performing during the festival, as well as music executives speaking at the conference to share highlights with an online audience who are unable to attend the event.

Shindig is an interactive video chat technology for large-scale, online video-chat events. Hosts can present to thousands of guests in a custom branded virtual space. CMW’s online audience will also be able to be brought up to “share” the stage and ask questions from artists and executives face to face via video chat. The technology also enables the online audience to see everyone participating in the video chat, and allows them chat one-on-one with each other in private video chats within the event.

CMW’s interactive video chat broadcast will be available from March 20 to 23 at 4 p.m. EST by clicking www.shindig.com/event/cmw.
