ATLANTA – A marquee opening session and an enhanced array of educational programs and hands-on technology exhibits helped drive attendance to approximately 9,800 for SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) reports.
This year’s event featured an increase of more than 6% year-over-year in overall attendance, including more than 1,200 international attendees and more than 60 first-time exhibitors. In addition, the two all-day pre-conference workshops, ‘Creating the Cable Generalist’ and ‘DOCSIS 3.1 Engineering’, attracted more than 400 registrants.
SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2014 is scheduled for September 23 – 26 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Tony Werner, executive vice president and CTO of Comcast Cable, will serve as program committee chairman for the 2014 event.
